Fruit That Defy Gravity! photoshop poster design
Fruit That Defy Gravity
Here is a photo shoot for my AS level Photography, I decided that
this time my topic would be based around objects that defied gravity.
Although these photos may look quite complicated, it was in fact very
easy, what you don’t see here is that I used cocktail sticks to balance
each part of the fruit as well as using some thread for the orange peel.
I then brought the images into Photoshop and used a variety of tools to
remove the cocktail sticks from sight to give the perception that they
were floating midair.

We absolutely love Austin, Texas based graphic designer Erin Hanson. Her work is inspired by simple “everyday random things” and some of her ideas are brilliantly showcased in this kinda minimal series called “1 Minute Photoshop Thoughts”. It´s clever, a little sarcastic and inspirational at the same time! Enjoy!
I believe we all are prey to bouts of laziness. I am constantly in the throes and try to combat my ailment with a steady diet of inspiration and doing.

thierry despont masks Phantoms and strange beings Art Design
Objects such as brooms, cleavers, knives, brushes and scissors are
simply so quotidians but not for creative New York based artist Thierry Despont. He has the talent of transforming this objects into these kinda mysterious sculptures featured in Masks.
Thierry describes his work as:
“As I wonder the streets of our cities I keep stumbling across weird and discarded objects, old tools aban- doned in the dark corners of foreign shops, he?te?roclite bric-a-brac, wondrous rejects of our blind civiliza- tion. The objects speak to me. I take them to my studio where I lay them down on old cutting boards found in a Parisian flea market. Suddenly a mask or a face appears. Each mask is a small poem, a smile, an emotion”…
Despont is well known for his paintings on wood panel or on copper mounted on wood panel that depict nebu- las and celestial bodies. Mostly of his work is executed in mixed media with such materials as enamel, asphaltum, acrylic, ink, glue, epoxy resin, paper, alumichrom, and oil stick. Love the “birdish” sculptures, it’s quite cool and rustic!
Enjoy!
“You see things and you say, ‘Why’? But I dream things that never were, and I say, ‘Why not’?”
George Bernard Shaw
